Janet Jackson Not Attending 'Tribute Concert' For Brother Michael

Janet Jackson announced that she will not be attend a planned tribute concert for her older brother Michael that is scheduled in Wales . Her reason well the show coincides with the trial of a doctor charged in the King of Pop’s death.

“Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me."

Her statement comes on her brother’s 53rd birthday.

The show is scheduled for Oct. 8 in Cardiff, Wales, Michaels mom Katherine, and Michaels Children are scheduled to attend.

Tony Bennett Will Pay Tribute To Amy Winehouse VMA's!

Tony Bennett will be paying tribute to Amy Winehouse at the MTV Video Music Awards on sunday. Adele and Lady Gaga are expected to join him on stage also.

Bennett who has collaborated with Winehouse for the duet “Body and Soul”,  will appear on his Duets II album.

The tribute will be preceded by footage of them during their studio rehearsal of the song. The track will be released on September 14th, Winehouse’s birthday. Bennett commented:

“It was a thrill to record with Amy Winehouse and when you listen to the recording of ‘Body and Soul’ it is a testament to her artistic genius and her brilliance as one of the most honest musicians I have ever known.”

Mr Bennett will donate all proceeds from the song to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. 

Winehouse’s father Mitch also commented on Bennett’s tribute:

“Our family is honored that the VMA’s are giving Amy this wonderful tribute. We know that Amy’s performance of ‘Rehab’ at the MTV Movie Awards played an important part in Amy’s worldwide success.”

Beyonce Will Perform At 'Micheal Jackson Tribute' via Satelite??

Beyonce is now amongst the group of celebrities that will be performing at the MJ Tribute Concertthat is being held in Wales this October. But Bey will not be performing live at the venue.

Promoters who are behind the  “Michael Forever Tribute”  posted the announcement on Facebook about Beyonce performance one of her favorite Jackson 5 songs via satellite.

Why will the "Girls Rule the world " Singer not be attending in a statement:

"A lifelong Michael fan, Beyoncé really wanted to be involved in this tribute concert. Due to scheduling issues she can’t be there in person, but this performance is not to be missed"
