Jay-z Is Working On New Album!!

No I.D, was named Def Jam’s Executive Vice President of A&R ealier this week. With that he has told press that Jay-Z already started working on a new album. 

Talking to magaizine he said;

“Jay has started again…He played me a couple of things. I gave him some music while we were at the ‘Watch the Throne’ sessions. But with Jay, you never know what he’s really doing, thinking, planning until it’s really done… I’m sure he’ll make a decision one day to make an album very quickly, like he usually does. He’s one of the best, period. I think he’s at a place where he has visions of what he wants to do, and it’s not really dependent on any of us. It’s dependent on his vision and he’s gonna do it, [and] hopefully I’ll be involved.”

No I.D Is Now An VP Of Def Jam!

Producer No I.D. arrived at ASCAP’s Rhythm and Soul team’s pre-VMAs Bowling Mixer with some great news.

“I’m (now) executive VP of Def Jam,” the producer announced. “I’m going to keep on doing what I’m doing and take it to another level.

He has worked with  Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna wants to keep finding talent and making music.

“Def Jam is a cultural staple,” No I.D. said. “It’s not just a label, it’s part of the culture that I came up in and that I’ve been involved with for 20 years. It’s very important that the next generation of executives grab it by the horns and keep it on track as it grow"
