Katy Perry and her jewelery designer friend, attend Markus Molinari  charity event in Las Vegas. Perry happily posed with her friend on the red carpet looking fablously happy with her blue hair.

This is the first her first public appearance since Russell Brand filed for divorce in December.

Katy Perry decided to go on Twitter for the first time since her future ex husband Rusell Brand announced the pair were to divorce last week. Here is what she had to say

Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, “close sources” or my family.”

She continued:

“I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world.You guys have made my heart happy again,”

Russell Brand Files For Divorce From Katy Perry!!!

Russell Brand the comedian has filed divorce papers in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences for the dissolution of their marriage. The famous couple tied the knot in October of 2010 at an intimate ceremony in India.

There has been rumors that the couple's relationship was on the rocks for sometime. they were rumored to have spent the holidays apart. Perry jetted off to Hawaii with friends for the Christmas holiday while Brand stayed in London's West End.

Brand had this to say,

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," Brand said, according to AP wires. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

We haven't heard anything from Perry yet in regards to the split.

Katy Perry joined forces with Kanye West  Thursday night's episode of "American Idol". She and her hip-hop partner's pre-taped there duet, whiched  kicked off with Kanye appearing via music video than joining Katy onstage moments later.

This was  second time for both Katy and Kanye on the hit FOX show.
