Governor Christie Shuts Down "Jersey Shore" Tax Credit

Have you head about the "Snooki Subsidy," well Governor Chris Christie has vetoed a measure that allowed MTV's "Jersey Shore" to take advantage of a major tax break.

On Monday, the governor blocked $420,000 film credit that was approved by the Economic Development Authority last week, this allowed for the state to pay some of the bills for show's production costs.

Chris Christie had this to say to Newark Star-Ledger;

"I have no interest in policing the content of such projects. However, as chief executive I am duty-bound to ensure that taxpayers are not footing a $420,000 bill for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens."
