Amy Winehouse Dad Thinks Prescription Drugs Had Something To Do With Daughters Death!

Amy Winehouse parents sat down with Anderson Cooper’s on his new talk show 'Anderson'. Mitch (amy's dad) revealed that Amy was prescribed drug called “Librium”, which is used to fight withdrawal symptoms of alcoholism.

He believes that may have been the leading cause of death after possibly suffering a seizure related to alcohol detoxification and ‘there was nobody there to rescue her’.

Tony Bennett Will Pay Tribute To Amy Winehouse VMA's!

Tony Bennett will be paying tribute to Amy Winehouse at the MTV Video Music Awards on sunday. Adele and Lady Gaga are expected to join him on stage also.

Bennett who has collaborated with Winehouse for the duet “Body and Soul”,  will appear on his Duets II album.

The tribute will be preceded by footage of them during their studio rehearsal of the song. The track will be released on September 14th, Winehouse’s birthday. Bennett commented:

“It was a thrill to record with Amy Winehouse and when you listen to the recording of ‘Body and Soul’ it is a testament to her artistic genius and her brilliance as one of the most honest musicians I have ever known.”

Mr Bennett will donate all proceeds from the song to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. 

Winehouse’s father Mitch also commented on Bennett’s tribute:

“Our family is honored that the VMA’s are giving Amy this wonderful tribute. We know that Amy’s performance of ‘Rehab’ at the MTV Movie Awards played an important part in Amy’s worldwide success.”

Lady GaGa Idolized Amy Winehouse & Want To Play Her In A Movie???

Rumours are flying around thatt Lady Gaga idolized the late Amy Winehouse and wants to play her in a movie. According to a British tabloid,

“Lady Gaga worshiped Amy and would love nothing more than to transform herself into her idol on the big screen. She’d be spot on performing Amy’s songs and has got the right look and bolshy attitude…Gaga’s management team had been discussing possible film ventures before Amy’s untimely death. But there’s only ever been one role she wants and that’s to play Amy.”

When Gaga heard of Amy's paasing she said,

“I am just so devastated and so sad. I really could not speak for 48 hours straight; I was in such shock. She was the most lovely and nice and kind woman.”

Amy Winehouse’s Dad Donates Clothes To Daughters Fans

Mitch Winehouse is coping the best way he knows how, today Amy's dad gave away some of his daugters belongings to her fans. A group of supporters gathered outside her home in Camden, England once the news broke on Saturday, and the “Rehab” singer’s dad recently handed out a few items such as clothes, accessories and trinkets to the mourning fans.

HMitch spoke to fans before hopping in a taxi,

"There are Amy's T-shirts. This is what she would have wanted  for her fans to have her clothes. God bless Amy Winehouse.”

On Thursday night (July 28), friends and family gathered to celebrate Amy’s life at the Jazz After Dark club, her favorite jazz club in London’s Soho district.

Keri Hilson Is Being Very Insensitive About Amy Winehouse Death!

Keri Hilson was bombarded with criticism after posting a very insensitive twitpic about the recently deseased Amy Winehouse.

The singer tweeted the photo with this comment;

*gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/ me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance)

After posting the picture the singer was barraged with negative tweets, she then posted;

Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever. #RIPAMYWINEHOUSE 

Then followed up with;

Bedtime. I apologize 2 anyone who might’ve taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she dressed up to honor Amy.. (ctnd)(ctnd) I had no ill intent, but I understand how it appears insensitive…my bad twitterville. For real. Good night

Amy Winehouse Funeral

It has been confrime that Amy Winehouse’s funeral will take place privately, on 26th July with only family and close friends attending. On Monday, the result of Amy's autopsy came out as "inconclusive".

A police statement read,

"It did not establish a formal cause of death and we await the results of further toxicology tests." In the meantime, it was reported that family wanted to believe the singer's death was caused by either a heart attack or a fatal seizure.  Amy's family are expecting the outcome to be a heart attack or seizure and will be really shocked if it's not," a source told The Sun. "They staunchly believe it had nothing at all to do with recent drug binges. In the end it was her booze addiction that killed her. She had had a number of seizures in the past six months due to the amount she was drinking.".

The official cause of Amy’s death is still pending.
