Jay-Z & Kanye Open Up A Pop-Up Store In NYC

Today is the official day fans can cop a physical copy of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch the Throne’ LP. they opened up a pop-up store in New York City.

The pop-up store-front, located at 201 Mulberry Street, is wrapped in gold–just like the album’s Riccardo Tisci-designed cover art.

Inside the store you can find the tricked-out Maybach from their “Otis” music video. The luxury vehicle sits in the middle of the store as the Spike Jonze-directed music video for their single “Otis” plays on a loop on the big screen in the store.

The ‘Watch the Throne’ pop-up shop is open Friday until 10PM ET, Saturday from 11AM to 8PM and Sunday from 11AM to 6PM. Though no confirmation has been made yet, a Jay-Z or Kanye West sighting could occur before the store closes its doors for good.

Jay-Z and Kanye 'Watch The Throne’ At Number One

'Watch The Throne’ is at the No. 1 spot on iTunes album sales on its first day of release. Jay-Z and Kanye West dedicated a track off their new album, ‘Watch the Throne’, to a slain college student.

“Murder to Excellence” starts off with Jay-Z saying, “This is to the memory of Danroy Henry. Too much enemy fire to catch a friendly.”

Henry, a student at Pace University in New York who went by the nickname DJ, was shot by police in October 2010 during a disturbance outside a bar near his school.
